Welcome to the Relate South Essex website. We provide counselling, sex therapy, youth counselling, mediation and training for the communities of Thurrock, Basildon and Southend. We are a registered charity and have over 60 years experience of helping individuals, couples and families to develop positive intimate, personal and work based relationships.

Our aim is to provide local communities with affordable counselling, support and training delivered at a range of centres. Some of our services are free, we ask for donations from all clients to help us continue to provide over 6,000 hours of professional support every year.

The AQA Intermediate Certificate in Counselling Skills will commence in February 2010 and will be completed in July 2010 so that students can attend the AQA Diploma in Counselling in September 2010. Please telephone Teresea on 0845 0702315 for more inforamtion.

14th Dec 2009Sycamore Fund - Mayor

We now have 12 volunteers who are ready to start supporting young carers in the Southend Area. If you know of children under 11 whose parents or siblings have health issues - there are likely to be additional pressures on the children. The Mayor would like to thank them for their help within the family by offering them support (someone to to visit them regularly) and take them out or give them a one-off treat. Referral is simple - either complete one of the golden tickets (schools and GPs will have these in early 2010) or phone 0845 0702315.
